On Tuesday, Oct. 6, Moran junior high and high school teams traveled to Newcastle to play volleyball.

Hise said the junior high team lost in two sets, 22-25 and 6-25.

The varsity lost in three sets, 21-25, 18-25, and 12-25.

“We suffered two injuries in the third set that hurt us,” Hise added. “ The ladies keep playing better each game. We have difficulty finishing the point though.”

On Saturday, Oct. 10, the Lady Bulldogs played Albany at Moran.

“We played a new lineup due to the injuries from the previous game,” Hise explained.

Moran lost in three sets 11-25,6-25 and 10-25.

“The ladies hustled hard for several points,” Hise said. “They were scrappy. I am very proud of the effort they put forth.”
