Booster club to meet July 17

The kickoff meeting for the Albany Athletic Booster Club has been scheduled for 6:00 p.m. Sunday, July 17, at the Albany Junior/Senior High fieldhouse.

Booster Club member Amanda Tabor said several items of business for the upcoming year will be covered.

“We’re going to discuss team parent signup for junior high, JV, and varsity sports for fall,” Tabor said. “We usually start gathering some spring sports moms, too.”

Tabor said the Booster Club’s Ice Cream Supper on Monday, Aug. 8 will also be on the agenda.

“We need volunteers for the Ice Cream Supper, and we’ll talk about how that’s going to flow this year,” she said. “Then we’re going to discuss getting some volunteers for ad sales.”

Tabor added there are also open coordinator positions for regular Booster Club activities.

“There are a couple of spots we need to get filled for football season,” she said. “We need dads for our tunnel crew to put up the tunnel and the big A. We also need people to put out flags on game days.”
