The Albany Athletic Booster Club will hold a kickoff meeting for the upcoming school year on Sunday, July 17.

Time and location of the meeting are still being worked out, according to Booster Club member Amanda Tabor.

“The kickoff meeting will be about signing up team parents, the ice cream supper, and fundraising plans for the fall,” Tabor said.

Tabor said no new Booster Club projects are planned at this time.

“We’re going to try to keep doing what we’ve been doing in past years,” she said. “Everything seems to be going well.”

Tabor said participation in the Booster Club’s seat cushion fundraiser at the Fandangle was outstanding over the two weekends of the show.

“We had a really good turnout for the sales and the pickup,” she said. “I’d like to give a very big thank you to everyone who helped out with that.”

The Booster Club will begin selling football program ads for the 2022 season following the July 17 meeting, Tabor said.

“We did decide to stick with the same prices as before,” she said. “The people who will be selling ads will be calling around at the end of July for the people who had ads the previous year. We’ll get everything assigned at the meeting and they’ll get a list of who they’re supposed to contact.”
