Local high school athletes will be honored for their participation and achievements in sports for the 2021-2022 school year at the annual All-Sports Banquet scheduled for Tuesday, May 17 in the main gym at the high school.

The serving lines for the meal will start at 7:00 p.m., according to Albany Athletic Booster Club officer Amanda Tabor.

High school athletes will be recognized, and coaches will announce winners of various awards, including MVP honors and special memorial award winners.

The fajita meal will be catered by the Icehouse Restaurant. Cheerleaders will provide desserts, with newly-elected junior high cheerleaders serving the desserts.

The event will include an all-inclusive slide show highlighting all sports.

Sports-themed table centerpieces are being provided by Booster Club members.

Decorating for the event will begin immediately following the academic banquet on Monday, May 16.

Tickets were provided without charge to the athletes, while others attending had to purchase a $15 ticket by the May 10 deadline.

Coaches for each sport will introduce their teams and announce individual awards, with the memorial awards being presented at the end of the evening.

Outgoing and incoming cheerleaders will also be recognized.

The event is sponsored by the Albany Athletic Booster Club.
