The 2019 football program will be sent to the printers in the next couple of weeks, and everyone who still wants to help support the local high school and junior high athletes, encourage a student at the secondary school, and/or promote their business by placing an ad in the magazine-type program is asked to do so as soon as possible.

With a deadline of next Monday, July 29, the ad sales will be finalized at a meeting of the Albany Athletic Booster Club set for 6:00 p.m. that evening at the Feed Store.

Ad prices in the program range from $30 for business card size to $250 for a full page.

The football program ad sales along with proceeds from the Hamburger Supper and the concession stand are the main ways that the Albany Athletic Booster Club raises money to support local athletes, at both the junior high and high school levels.

Individuals and business owners who wish to be included in the 2019 Albany Lion home football programs should contact Tisha Wilkins at 325-660-7443 by Monday.

The club is now set up to take credit/debit cards for ad sales and the spirit shop.

“We plan to gather up all our ads at Monday night’s meeting and get them to The Albany News as soon as possible,” said Wilkins.

She added that Booster Club members present for the July 29 meeting will also go over details for the Aug. 12 Hamburger Supper.

Wilkins urged local residents to check the Booster Club’s Facebook page for a “Signup Genius.”

“You can use this to volunteer to help at the Hamburger Supper, or you can contact one of the officers,” said Wilkins.

Booster Club officers for the upcoming year include Stephen Kayga - president,  D’Anna Knight - vice president, Shawnee Tischler - treasurer, and Wilkins - secretary, as well as Logan Neve, who will be in charge of the “Tunnel Crew.”
