Ad sales start for program

Members of the Albany Athletic Booster Club met on Monday evening, July 9, to start planning for the upcoming sports seasons and to begin work on one of their biggest fundraiser of the year, the magazine-type 2018 football program that will be sold at all of the home football games.

“We are in the process of getting ads for the program,” said Booster Club advertising coordinator Shawnee Tischler. “Purchasing an ad is a way to show off and support your child, whether they are in athletics or not. It is for any child at the school.”

Money raised from sale of the ads goes to help support all of the high school and junior high sports, according to Tischler.

Ad costs and sizes will remain the same as last year.

The four options are business card size for $30, quarter page for $60, half page for $120, and full page for $225.

“Those already on our list will be getting phone calls, or they can reach out to us by phone or message us on the Albany Athletic Booster Club’s Facebook page,” said Tischler.

Tischler can be called at 325-721-4776 and Mindy Ary at 325-762-2447, ext. 112.

Local individuals and business owners who wish to be included in the 2018 Albany Lion home football programs should contact a member of the Albany Athletic Booster Club if they are not contacted within the next couple of weeks.

The deadline for ad sales has been set for Wednesday, Aug. 1, because the program needs to be finished and printed before the first home football game.
