A total of 86 campers attended the Albany Volleyball Camp, receiving instruction in the sport from Albany volleyball coach M.J. Reneau and several assistants.

The camp was the third offered by Albany coaches since school let out for the summer, following an all-sports camp and basketball camp.

The final camp on the summer schedule is the Cubs Cheer Camp for age 3 through sixth grade. That camp is scheduled for Monday-Wednesday, July 24-26 at the auxiliary gym.

Cost is $35 per child with additional siblings accepted for another $20 each. Those signed up by Tuesday, July 11 will receive a camp T-shirt. Sizes run from youth extra-small to adult large.

Checks should be made out to Albany Cheer and mailed with registration forms to Nickie Leveridge at P.O. Box 2050, Albany, Texas 76430.

Camp sessions will be 9:30-11:30 a.m. each day.

The camp will have themes for each day. Monday will be Tie-Dye Day, followed by Hawaiian Day on Tuesday and Camp-Shirt/Uniform Day on Wednesday.

Participants are asked to perform with their group at the 2023 Albany Lion Ice Cream Supper hosted by the Albany Athletic Booster Club.
