Words about the WORD - Doug Stenberg - Trinity Covenant Fellowship

If your commitment to Jesus is more than 24 hours old, then it is too old! Re-give yourself to Jesus anew every day!

Jesus gave His all for you! If you want God’s best for you, then after you have invited Jesus into your life as your Savior from sin, death, and Hell, He comes into you and saves you from all sin, death, and Hell. He also gives to you all that He is and has!

John 15:13 says, “Greater love has no one than this, that one lay down his life for his friends.” Did you hear what God said in this verse? Yes, Jesus laid His life down for us because He loves us and sees us as friends!

Therefore, if you want to love Jesus back with this God-kind of love, lay down your life for Him. How? Give yourself to Him, surrender your life to Him, saying this: “Jesus, I am yours. Not my will be done with my life, but your will be done with me. Show me what you want me to do as I follow and walk with you.”

Hear what God is saying to you and me in these next two verses. 1 Corinthians 6:19–20 states this truth: “Or do you not know that your body is a temple of the Holy Spirit who is in you, whom you have from God, and you are not your own? For you have been bought with a price. Therefore glorify God in your body.” How do we glorify God in our body? We do this by surrendering ourselves to Jesus daily. “Jesus, I am yours. Show me your will for me. I give myself to you afresh and anew every day, because I love you. Your plan for me is what I want.”

And Jesus will show you one step at a time, one day at a time. He will lead you. As you live your life following Jesus and living His Word, He reveals His plans for you because He loves you.

Daily surrender of your life to Jesus and living by His Word is VITAL to God’s peace and joy in your life.

Jesus says this to you: “These things I have spoken to you, that My joy may be in you, and that your joy may be made full.” What do you want your life full of?
