She was born to Edgar and Melinda Hudson on March 7, 1937 in Kent, Margate England. She was the eleventh child out of twelve. She came to the USA on May 17, 1956.

Vi loved spending time in the kitchen cooking delicious meals for her family. She looked forward to her family coming over for the holidays. She cherished the time she spent at the lake with her dog Queenie. She enjoyed going to watch her grandchildren and great grandchildren’s sporting events. Vi could outwork anyone. She was still working in her granddaughter’s restaurant at the ripe age of 85. Vi’s favorite title was Nanny, and she was adored by all who called her that.

She is survived by her six children – son Gary Hargis, daughter Sharon and Brandon Cerenzia, daughter Sandra Hash and husband Jamie, son Ronnie Hargis and wife Margie, daughter Vicky Terrell and husband Kenny, son Michael Newman and wife Karen; her brother John and wife Jackie, and nieces and nephew of England; 15 loving grandchildren and 22 great grandchildren.
