TERRY CLIFT

Terry Joe Clift, 76, of Albany passed away on Thursday, Jan. 13, 2022 in Abilene, Texas. A memorial service will be held at the Albany Cemetery Pavilion in Albany, Texas on Saturday, Jan. 22, 2022 at 11:00 a.m. with Sherman Bates officiating.

He was born on Dec. 17, 1945 in Abilene, Texas to the late W.L. and Nina Clift, the middle of 10 siblings.

Terry was a graduate of Noodle High School and Cisco Junior College. His favorite jobs were being a father and his love for the oilfield. In his spare time, he enjoyed coon hunting and training coon dogs. He was known as the “phone a friend” for any kind of trivia. He loved the outdoors no matter what the conditions.

He is preceded in death by his parents, William and Nina Clift; brothers Gene, Donald and Jerry; and sisters Shirley, Bobbie, Carol, Linda and Debbie.

Survivors include his wife of 48 years, Lana Clift; daughters Amber (Jimmy) Shultz and Leslie (Tom) Belcher; grandsons Ian (Maegan) Farley and Will Farley; granddaughters Blakeney (Dallas) Lupton, Blanton Belcher, and Kloee Farley; brother Tommy (Laci) Clift; sister Gwen (Mike) Pritchard; and great grandchildren Hadley, ­Riley, and Haven Lupton and Cohen Bownds.

Memorial donations can be made to Hendrick Hospice in Abilene. PD
