REV. EDDIE PRICE

Rev. Eddie Price, age 88 of Albany, passed away Thursday, June 1, 2023. Funeral services were held Wednesday, June 7 at First Baptist Church with Rev. John Tunnell officiating. Interment followed in the Texas State Veterans Cemetery in Abilene under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Merlin Edward Price was born Feb. 2, 1935 in Emhouse, Texas to David Kenton Price and Mable E. Brock Price. He enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1954 and served until he was honorably discharged in 1957.

On Dec. 13, 1958, he married Betty Ann Hudson in Abilene. He became a minister and served at Ash Street Baptist Church in Abilene and later began North Side Baptist Church in Albany.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one brother, D.K. Price; one sister, Roxie Ann Price; one daughter, Elizabeth Reese.

Mr. Price is survived his wife of 64 years, Betty Price of Albany; three children, Zena Churchill and husband Gary of Albany, Angela Price of Abilene, John Foster Reese of Albany; eight grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and one great-great grandchild on the way.
