Jesus called another one of His angels, Norma O’Connor, age 70 of Wichita Falls and formerly of Albany, home to rejoice in celebration on Tuesday, June 26, 2018.

Funeral Services were held Friday, June 29 at Bethel Assembly in Albany with Derrell Marion officiating. Interment followed in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Norma was an entrepreneur and enjoyed sewing, cooking, and especially fishing. She was overly generous and always loved taking care of everyone, including making pillows for residents in care homes and baking cookies for prisoners where she earned the name “Cookie Angel.”

Norma was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Audrey O’Connor; one daughter, Gina Everett; one brother, Robert O’Connor; two sisters, Marie Mendoza, and Jeannie Sanders; and one granddaughter, Emily Everett.

She is survived by one daughter, Lana Barnard of Knox City; two siblings, David O’Connor and wife Mary Kay, and Lynda Stockton and husband Richard, all of Albany; four grandchildren, Scott Everett, Jaadon Jackson, Stran Jones and wife Ariel, and Samuel Barnard; three great grandchildren, Zarron Everett, Brileigh Everett, and Gracie Jones; and nieces, nephews, and cousins.
