Neva Hall, age 88 of Roby, passed away, Thursday, March 4, 2021. A private funeral service for family only will be held at Belvieu Cemetery in Rotan. Services have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.

Neva Joyce Rogers was born on April 26, 1932 in Jayton, Texas to parents, Leslie Rogers and Lea Honor Kidd Rogers. She was raised in Peacock, Texas, where her family farmed cotton.

On Dec. 17, 1949, at 17, she married Rex Hall in Aspermont. He became her rock for 57 years and she often said “he was so good to her.” They moved to Fisher County to buy a farm of their own and raise a family.

Neva felt blessed in her banking career in Rotan, Roby, and Sweetwater from her early 20s until retirement. Working with the bank customers gave her great joy.

Neva enjoyed gardening, quilting, dancing with Rex, and the “Dancing Queens” at senior centers. They loved playing dominoes and cards with their friends and grandkids.

She shared fond memories of playing basketball at Peacock School and watched local teams for many years. She attended First Baptist Church in Roby.

Neva was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one sister; three brothers; and twin sons, Terry and Jerry Hall.

She is survived by two daughters, Lana Britton of Albany and Leah Waughtal and husband Hal of Houston; four grandchildren, Jeff Turner and wife Crystal, and Michael Turner, all of Albany, Tatum Cochran and husband Willie of Austin, Tyler Waughtal of Houston; four great grandchildren, Gwendolyn Turner, Nolan Turner, William Cochran, Drees Cochran; and many nieces and nephews.

Her family would like to express gratitude to her dear neighbors in Roby who responded so graciously to her calls and to the staff at Chisholm Place in Abilene.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the First Baptist Church of Albany scholarship fund. Condolences may be made online at www.morehart mortuary.net. PD
