Nathan D. Webb Jr.
Nathan D. Webb Jr., known as “Buddy” or affectionately as “Pops” to his family, was born in Graham and grew up in Albany – he was very proud of his heritage. He graduated from Albany High, served honorably in the U.S. Army, married Virginia Brooks, and later attended TCU. His service deeply impacted him, fostering a lifelong gratitude towards servicemen.
Buddy had a successful career in sales and manufacturing and later became a trusted expert in managing the family’s mineral rights and ranch. His dream of ranch ownership was fulfilled in Mountain Home, Texas, where he cherished family gatherings and caring for the land. A 30-year cancer survivor, Buddy was dedicated to service, supporting organizations like Coaches Outreach and cancer survivor groups. Buddy was an avid sportsman, competing in tennis and marathons, and enjoyed hunting and fishing worldwide.
Above all, he was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and friend, always supporting his grandchildren’s activities. His kindness, dedication, and faith will be deeply missed. He is survived by his wife Virginia, three children, eight grandchildren, and his brother Sam Webb. He was preceded in death by his parents, Nathan and Gladys Webb, and his sister, Martha May.
A private family burial is planned in Albany on April 19th.
