Nadine Boland, age 80 of Albany, passed away Tuesday, Jan. 12, 2021. Graveside funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 16 at the Albany Cemetery with Kyle Viertel officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.
Merle Nadine Adams was born Nov. 9, 1940 in Granger, Wyoming to Roy and Idonna Hereford Adams. She married Billy Boland in Kemmerer, Wyoming on May 9, 1963.
Nadine was a nurse at the Shackelford County Hospital for over 20 years, until its closing in 1997. She continued to work for the current Resource Center for five years until retirement. Nadine will be remembered for her compassionate care. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Albany.
Family was her main interest, and she loved spending quality time with them. There was not a game or activity that her kids or grandkids did that she missed. Nadine was a faithful wife, mother and grandmother.
She was very proud of her Shoshone Indian heritage. In fact, Nadine’s family has genealogy ties all the way back to Sacajawea.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Roy and Idonna Adams; her son, Billy Wayne Boland; grandson, Javiel Garcia; three sisters, Beverly, Dion and Verda and three brothers.
Nadine is survived by her husband of 57 years, Billy Boland of Albany; four children, Eddy Boland and wife Sadie of Albany, Joey Boland and wife Mary of Albany, Beverly Roberts and husband Wendell of Albany, Tammy Boland of Albany; her bonus sons, Scott Presley and wife Melinda of Albany; Larry Don Latimer of Lamesa and Kendall Roberts of Albany; six grandchildren, six great grandchildren and numerous bonus grandchildren and great grandchildren; along with many nieces and nephews.
