Marza Emogene Boyett White passed away at the age of 98 on Mar. 24, 2022. Marza was born Nov. 20, 1923, to Jasper Zant Boyett and Elpha Brown Boyett in the community of Ibex in Stephens County, Texas.

A graveside service is planned for May 14 in the Albany Cemetery, tentatively set for 10:00 a.m., followed by a Celebration of Life.

She attended public schools in Ibex, Moran, and Breckenridge, graduating in 1941. She married J.C. White in June of 1951 and worked in the operation of J.C. White Tank Company for twenty years.

Marza joined the First Methodist Church in 1939, serving in several positions during her lifetime. Marza volunteered as costume designer and makeup artist in the Albany Nativity and the Fort Griffin Fandangle for 25 years. She was president of the PTO and room mother for Sharon and Jesse for 18 years.

Marza was active in the Rose Park Senior Citizens, enjoying many hours happily playing games and dancing. She lived in Albany for 52 years until moving into an assisted living facility in Abilene in Sept. 2003, followed by moves to Austin and Mansfield.

Marza was preceded in death by her husband J.C., parents, brother, and sister.

Marza is survived by daughter Sharon Stewart of Mansfield, Texas; son Jesse White and wife Janice of Austin, Texas; grandson Ricky Bell and wife Kimberlee of Norman, Oklahoma; granddaughters Jennifer Bell and Russell Smith of Arlington, Texas; Helaena White and Steve Pritchard of Vienna, Virginia; Katherine White and fiancé Chris Golze of Austin, Texas; Lauren White of Bryan-College Station, Texas; great granddaughters Lauren Harris and husband Ryan; Taylor Bell; and great grandsons Ryan Bell, Oli Pritchard, and Henry Pritchard.
