Mary Hargrove, 86, of Throckmorton, passed away Thursday, Sept. 19, 2019. Funeral services were held Saturday, Sept. 21st at the First Baptist Church in Throckmorton with Rev. Mike McKinney officiating. Interment followed in the Willow Cemetery in Haskell under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Mary Sue Lancaster was born Apr. 16, 1933 in the Roberts Community of Haskell County to parents, Ray Lancaster and Stella Bilderback Lancaster. After graduating high school, she married Gaylon Lavon Hargrove on Nov. 10, 1951 in Haskell. 

She enjoyed watching the Texas Rangers and the Dallas Cowboys and playing the Texas Lotto. Mary enjoyed feeding hummingbirds and often had many hummingbirds at her feeder. 

She was the best hostess ever and loved spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. 

Mary was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one son, Gary Lee Hargrove; one brother, Hugh Lancaster; and one grandson, Clell Hargrove.

Mrs. Hargrove is survived by two sons, Stacy Hargrove and wife Debbie of Throckmorton, Brett Hargrove and wife Tracy of Aledo; daughter-in-law, Sonya Hargrove of Throckmorton; one brother, Herbert Lancaster of Burleson; one sister, Frances Cox of Albany; five grandchildren, Cam Hargrove, Chad Hargrove and wife Samantha, Calvin Hargrove, Reed Hargrove, Reece Hargrove; and one great-grandchild due in October, Addison Lee Hargrove.
