Mary Cloud, 87 of Albany, passed away Saturday, July 12, 2025. Graveside funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m., Wednesday, July 16th at the Albany Cemetery with Lance Thomas officiating. Interment followed under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Mary Franklin Cloud was born July 1, 1938, on her family’s ranch southwest of Albany, Texas to James Owen Cloud and Mary Louise Whitby Cloud. She graduated high school from Greenhill Academy in Dallas. Mary loved her pets dearly and enjoyed time with family while living in Albany in her last years. She was preceded in death by her parents and longtime companion, Harry Ackers.

Mrs. Cloud is survived by one daughter, Patti Davidson of Wimberley: two sons, Mark Moon and wife Ashley of Albany, Wyatt Moon and wife Lynne of Dallas: five grandchildren, Steven Austin and wife Kristen, T.J. Austin and wife Bonnie, Lori Friedman and husband Mike, Parker Moon and wife Sarah, Aubrey Moon; and seven great grandchildren, River Austin, Calin Austin, Elliette Austin, Cheyenne Austin, Owen Austin, Lane Austin and Myles Friedman.

Special thanks to Mary’s cousin, Louann who was always there for us.

The family would also like to express their thanks and appreciation to all of Mary’s care givers over the years, especially to Vonda Crouse, who was not only a blessing to Mary but to the family as well.
