 Larry Shoemaker, Sr., age 87 of Albany, passed away Monday, Nov. 5, 2018. Funeral services were held  Saturday, Nov. 10 at First Baptist Church of Albany with Pastor Paul Johnston officiating. Interment will follow in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. 

Larry Dean Shoemaker was born on Nov. 10, 1930 to Harold Shoemaker and Leora Perrigo Shoemaker in Victor, Iowa. Larry worked for Halliburton for 35 years and later started Shoemaker Stimulation Services. 

On June 20, 1948, he married Wanda Marie Housh. She preceded him in death and he later married Pamela Faye Adams Lenamon on June 12, 1981. 

Mr. Shoemaker was a Master Mason and a member of the Albany Lodge #482 A.F. & A.M. He was also a 32nd Degree Scottish Rite. 

He enjoyed playing golf and was a proud resident of Albany, Texas, serving for a time as a city councilman. 

He was preceded in death by two wives, Wanda Shoemaker and Pamela Shoemaker; his parents, Harold and Leora Shoemaker; one son, Larry Dean Shoemaker Jr.; and two grandsons, Larry Shoemaker III and Jacob Ryan Lenamon.

Mr. Shoemaker is survived by five children, Sharon Simpson of Fort Worth, Karen Hollahan and husband Richard of Santa Fe, Jimmy Lenamon and wife Debbie of Round Rock, John Lenamon and wife LaDonna of Abilene, Jeffrey Lenamon of Summit, New Jersey; two sisters; one brother; nine grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
