Services for Mr. Kenneth “Gramps” Zenkner, 81, of Waco, were held Saturday, Dec. 30, 2023, at Bartley Funeral Home, with Dr. Kelly Krone officiating.

Mr. Zenkner passed away Dec. 20, 2023, in Clifton, TX. He was born April 7, 1942, inAlbany, to Walter and Ida Leschber Zenkner. He spent his early years in Albany, 33 years in Grand Saline, and the last seven years in Waco. He married LaQuita Gilbreath Zenkner on Feb. 17, 1968. Kenneth worked as a machinist in Dallas, and then retired from Morton Salt in Grand Saline. He was a former member of First United Methodist Church in Grand Saline, and a current member of First Methodist Church in Waco.

Kenneth was preceded in death by his parents; Walter and Ida Zenkner; two sisters, Lanette Beal, and Beatrice Hohhertz; two brothers, Charles Zenkner, and Manfred Zenkner; and two brothers- in-law, Royse Gilbreath, and Joe Sellers, Jr.

Survivors include his wife of 55 years, LaQuita Zenkner of Waco; daughter, Allison Crawford, and husband Drew of Waco; threegrandchildren,Hannah Crawford of College Station,CaydenCrawford of Waco, and Bret Crawford of Waco; and numerous nieces,nephews,other relatives, and friends.
