JULIAN JONES

Julian Winifred Jones, age 56 of Albany, Texas passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2019.

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 21 at Bethel Assembly in Albany, officiated by longtime pastor and friend Alan Youngblood.

Julian Jones was born July 5, 1963 in Dumas, Texas. His parents were Joe and Armitta Jones of Albany, Texas. He graduated from Albany High School with the class of 1981.

He was known for his strength, athletic ability, strong work ethic, and willingness to help anyone in need.

He was preceded in death by his father, Joe Jones; brother, Joe Allen Jones; and niece, Andante Jones Harris.

He is survived by his mother, Armitta Jones; son, Joshua Jones; daughter, Karen Roark and husband Luke; and grandchildren Luke, Zane, and Dakota Roark. Also surviving are a sister-in-law, Melissa Jones; nephew Ronny Ellis and wife Kayla; nephew-in-law Rob Harris; two nieces, Josie Jones and Destiny Branson and husband Erik; and many great nieces and nephews, aunts, uncles, and cousins.

He will be greatly missed by all of the people in the town of Albany, Texas, his hometown which he loved, his colleagues at the City of Albany, his classmates of Albany High School, and friends from Father’s House Church.
