Jonathan Sparks

Jonathan Sparks, age 44 of Albany, passed away Thursday, July 30, 2026. Graveside funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m., Friday, August 7th at the Albany Cemetery Pavilion. Interment will follow under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. Services have been entrusted to Morehart Mortuary.

Jonathan Ray Sparks was born September 15, 1981, to parents, Donald Ray Sparks and Tammy Darlene Everette in Eastland, Texas. On May 2, 2009, he married Patty Cox in Albany. Jonathan worked as an apprentice electrician for Striker Electric. He was a hard-working and loving husband and was a provider for his family and friends. Jonathan loved being outdoors, whether fishing, hunting or barbecuing, but also enjoyed his time playing his PlayStation. Above all, he loved spending time with all his loved ones. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Sparks.

Jonathan is survived by his wife, Patty Sparks; two children, Hagen Tyler and Halyn Sparks; his mother, Tammy Everette; one sister, Jessica Richards and partner JJ Garcia; and two nieces and one nephew.
