Jill Hamilton Cauble passed away Tuesday, April 4, 2023 in Fort Worth, Texas at the age of 81. She was born two days after the attack on Pearl Harbor on Dec. 9, 1941 in her family home in Moran, Texas to Floyd “Tim” and Ima Octavi Smart Hamilton.

The youngest of five children, Jill was raised in Moran and graduated from Moran High School in 1961. She married her high school sweetheart, Robert Charles Cauble, of Albany, Texas in 1962, and soon after they moved to Andrews, Texas and then to Odessa, Texas and later to Brownwood, Texas to raise their three sons, Shawn, Jason, and Josh.  Jill was a devoted wife, a loving mother, and a kind and generous friend. To those who knew and loved her, she was a woman of deep, abiding faith and wisdom.

She is survived by two sons, Robert Shawn Cauble and wife Shannon Burnett Cauble of Glen Rose, Texas and their children: Reagan Cauble and Kyle Cauble; Jason Hamilton Cauble and wife Holly Harvick Cauble of Fort Worth, Texas and their children: Tyler Hamilton Cauble, Clayton Merritt Cauble, Grace Elizabeth Cauble, Mary Margaret “Mimi” Cauble, Robert Charles “Charlie” Cauble II, and George Henry Butler Cauble; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Charles Cauble, her son Joshua Cade Cauble; her parents, a brother, Robert “Bob” Hamilton; and four sisters, Patsy Lou Hamilton, Sue Hamilton McEachern, Nancy Hamilton Stone and Lucy Hamilton Shirley, and a grandson, Kade Amon Cauble.

She was laid to rest on Saturday, April 8, 2023 at her beloved family farm in Shackelford County near Moran, Texas. PD
