Jerry Davis, age 75 of Breckenridge, passed away Thursday, Aug. 15, 2019. Funeral services were held Sunday, Aug. 18 at Morehart Mortuary Chapel with Rev. Mark Wilcox officiating. Interment followed in the Hart Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary. 

Jerry Keith Davis was born Aug. 20, 1943 in Rush Springs, Oklahoma to his parents, Glenn Roe Davis and Lorene Heatley Davis. 

Jerry never stopped working. He worked on several ranches over the years, including the Elliott Ranch, Caldwell Ranch, Matador Ranch, and Musselman Ranch. He was also a heavy equipment operator, roughneck and logger, and even owned and operated Jerry Davis Trucking in Fort Worth. 

Before moving back to Breckenridge, he worked for Star Electric and 4D Excavating in Odessa. 

Jerry loved his kids more than anything and always made sure his children were taken care of. 

Mr. Davis was preceded in death by his parents, Glenn and Lorene Davis; one brother, Earl Davis; one sister, Doris Hoffman; and one grandson, Ben Luke Davis.

He is survived by five children, Sherry Davis of Breckenridge, Jerry Dale Davis and wife Gina, Ben K. Davis and wife Irene, all of Odessa, Donna Mae Walker and husband Scott of Breckenridge, Randy Davis and wife Helen of Odessa; one sister, Hazel Williamson of Odessa; three brothers, Burl Davis, Jim Davis and wife Jan of Breckenridge, and Max Davis of Ruidoso, New Mexico; 10 grandchildren, Samantha Davis, Alex Martin, Katelyn Davis, Faith Walker, Kasey Walker, Joe Davis, Lori Davis, Jerry Davis, Brandon Morrow, and Malissa Rudd; and five great grandchildren, Britton Morrow, Beckam Morrow, Hollyn Morrow, Parker Rudd, and Tucker Rudd.
