Wortham Glenn Key, 80, of Albany, passed away Saturday, Feb. 2, 2019 at Lyndale Senior Living in Abilene, Texas.

Funeral services were held Tuesday, Feb. 5 at Matthews Memorial Presbyterian Church with Rev. Anthony Ceder officiating. Interment followed in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

He was the fifth of seven children born to Delmon Wortham and Letha Bell Key. He was born on Oct. 13, 1938 in Throckmorton, Texas.

Whether you met Glenn for just a moment or knew him a lifetime, you were struck by his generosity, loyalty, and commitment to his family, friends, and student athletes who he enjoyed watching participate in any sport, be it girls, boys, junior high or high school.

Twice, Glenn and brother Bobby were presented the fan award at the Albany sports banquet. He seldom missed a game of any kind and was actually looking forward to attending basketball games this week to watch his grandson, Joshua Dyer, play.

Glenn was preceded in death by his parents; first wife, Linda Rankin Key; second wife, Janis King Key; son, Glenn Rankin Key; stepdaughter, Kim Sipe; and sister, Francis Greenway.
