Frank Perry

Frank Perry, 95, died at his home on February 4, 2025. Funeral service was held at 1:00pm on Saturday, February 8, 2025 at the First Baptist Church, Throckmorton, with Rev. Pete Parker officiating. A visitation was held on Saturday, February 8, 2025. Burial followed at the Proffitt Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Throckmorton.

Benjamin Franklin (Frank) Perry was born in Throckmorton County to Mary and Russell B. Perry Sr. on November 27, 1929. Frank was a cowboy’s cowboy. He worked for more than 50 years on the Matthews Ranches.  He and Linda Ball Perry married on August 7, 1964, a union of 58 years that ended with Linda’s death in 2022.

Frank served in the Army and was awarded the Korean Service Medal with 3 Bronze Stars and United Nations Service Medal. Upon discharge from the Army, he graduated from Ranger Jr. College and attended Tarleton State University. He was a life long Baptist and attended Woodson Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Throckmorton, where he served as a deacon for many years.

Frank is predeceased by his wife, Linda; his parents and siblings, Russell B (Rusty) Perry, Jr., Carroll Gordon Perry and Janelle Perry Nash. 

He is survived by special double - cousin Mary (Susie) Walraven - Kunkle and nieces and nephews, Marsha Nash Robbins, Diane Nash Norsworthy, Jacki Perry Dean, Don Perry and Russell G. Perry.

The family would like to extend their gratitude to all of those who reached out to Frank, Linda and the entire family. A special thanks to the  pallbearers, Kris Lukert, Russell Dean, Matt Dean, Jody Moore, Trevor Moore, and Alan Stephens.
