DEWEY MARTYN

Dewey Martyn, age 76 of Burleson, passed away Saturday, Nov. 19, 2022. Funeral services were held Saturday, Nov. 26 at Morehart Mortuary of Breckenridge with Pastor Andy Rodgers officiating.  Interment followed in the Albany Cemetery under the direction of Morehart Mortuary.

Dewey Edward Martyn was born July 5, 1946 in Globe, Arizona to R.E. “Bob” Martyn and Leona Riley Martyn. He graduated from Albany High School and then went on to earn his Associate’s Degree from Cisco Junior College. He also enlisted and served in the United States Air Force until his honorable discharge.

On Sept. 19, 1967, Dewey married Vicky Norman in Moran, Texas. He worked as a warehouse manager for Harbison Fisher for many years until his retirement. Mr. Martyn was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Leona Martyn.

He is survived by his wife, Vicky Martyn of Burleson; one daughter, Melissa Martyn of Burleson; four grandchildren, Hayden, Carson, Kasen and Rhylen; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and other loving family members.
