David Matthew Timms

David Matthew Timms, 58 passed away February 28, 2025 at his home in Ingleside, Texas. David was born in Mesquite, Texas on February 20, 1967, to Kenneth (Butch) Timms and the late Carol Johnson Timms. He was a former resident of Throckmorton, Texas, graduated in 1985 from Cooper High School, Abilene, Texas and was a member of the Lords Church.

He is survived by his daughter: Cassidy Maloff and husband Mathias of Key West, Florida; son: Trevor Timms of Austin, Texas; and their mother: Cindy Amway Timms who has touched our lives and will stay in our hearts forever; father: Kenneth (Butch) Timms and stepmother Virginia Timms of Albany, Texas; sister: Vicki Kitching of Bishop, Georgia; brothers: Allen Timms (Lisa) of Ingleside, Texas and Timothy Timms (Kelly) of San Angelo, Texas; stepsister: Jeannine Herrington (Mike); nieces and nephews: Cooper Kitching (Holli) of Cherry Hill, New Jersey, Blake Timms (Shelby) of San Angelo, Texas, Harley Gregg (Dalton) of Twin Falls, Idaho, Tabitha Roiz (Jessie) of Midland, Texas and Katie Roiz (Travis) of Granbury, Texas.

Davis was preceded in death by his grandparents: Woody and Rowena Timms of Throckmorton, Texas and Emery and Jewel Johnson of Stinnett, Texas.

David truly loved being close to the ocean. He enjoyed many trips to Key West, Florida and to Corpus Christi, Texas just to enjoy life close to the water.

A family celebration of David’s life will be held at the family farm in Throckmorton, Texas.
