DANIEL HOWE

Daniel Justin Howe, 34 of Clyde, TX, passed away on Sunday Sept. 9, 2018 along with his father Robert Gayle Howe in a motor vehicle accident.

Daniel graduated in the Class of 2003 from Clyde High School, and continued his education at Texas A&M Galveston and Cisco Junior College.

To provide for his family, Daniel worked hard in the oil fields or alongside his dad. No matter what the job was, it was always outdoors, and he was never afraid to get his hands dirty.

Daniel married his best friend Lindsey Danielle French on Dec. 27, 2005. They had a beautiful wedding on the beach, keeping in the tradition of Daniel’s love of the outdoors.

Lindsay is going to miss their daily talks, his great sense of humor, and how he could always find the good in any situation.

Daniel’s second home was in the mountains of New Mexico. On a whim one day, along with his brother-in-law, they mountain biked from Ruidoso through Cloudcroft and down the mountain to Alamogordo. Daniel loved the outdoors. He would spend every moment he could taking in the fresh air whether fishing, hiking, or playing disc golf. A great night for Daniel involved relaxing around a campfire, cheap beer, and Texas country music.

Daniel’s greatest accomplishment and joy was being a loving father to three wonderful children, Brydon Daniel 12, Gaven Rain 10, and Gwyneth Emma seven. The fondest memories the boys have with their father is the countless times he would take them to play disc golf. They enjoyed spending time together outdoors, especially at the lake. Recently Brydon spent time with his father jumping from the dock and riding around on a UTV at the lake, while Gaven had a great time competing with his dad tubing behind the boat to determine who had the greatest wipeout and who could last the longest. Gaven will miss movie nights with his Dad, eating candy and drinking Mountain Dew. Gwyneth loved her dad’s big bear hugs, cuddling watching TV together, and she will always remember how her Daddy taught her how to swim and ride a bike.

Daniel is survived by his wife of 12 years, Lindsey Howe, and their children Brydon Daniel, Gaven Rain and Gwyneth Emma of Clyde, TX; his mother Bonnie Howe of Clyde, TX; his sister Donna Monsey of Clyde, TX; and his brother Thomas Howe of Garland, TX. Among other relatives is an uncle, George Hays of Albany, TX.

Visitation will be at Bailey-Howard Funeral Home in Clyde, TX, on Saturday, Sept. 22 from 4:00-7:00 pm.

Services are being held at First Baptist Church on Sunday, Sept. 23 at 2:00 p.m. The family will have a private internment of his ashes at a later date.

Scouting has always been a passion of the Howe Family. His father Bobby was an assistant Scout Master, and Daniel followed in his brother Tommy’s footsteps and earned the prestigious Eagle Scout Award.

In lieu of flowers the family has asked for donations for the Howe Family Memorial Fund to Bonnie Howe, at First Bank of Texas, account 55250777.
