BRAWNER REED

Brawner Reed, age 82 of Albany, passed away Tuesday, July 23, 2019. A memorial service was held at 2:00 p.m., Saturday, July 27 at Friendship Baptist Church with Pastor Paul Johnston officiating.

Henry Brawner Reed was born July 8, 1937 in Palo Pinto County, Texas to Albert Sinclair Reed and Velma Bottoms Reed. He married Jackie Hollingsworth on Nov. 12, 1976 in Breckenridge. 

Brawner worked for the Stasney Ranch in Shackelford County until his retirement. 

He was preceded in death by parents; two brothers, Jim Reed and AG Reed; and one granddaughter, Jessica Zempel.

Brawner is survived by his wife of 42 years, Jackie Reed of Albany; five children, Justin Reed and wife Cozetta of Breckenridge, Brad Henry Reed and wife Kristy of Albany, Boots Henry Reed of Austin, Tammy Drake of Fredericksburg, Vivien Bower and husband Roger of Galveston; 12 grandsons, Billy, Robert, Braxton, Brawner, Dennis, Seth, Dalton, Tucker, Logan, Tom, Nick, Luke; seven granddaughters, Mandy, Blythe, Bailey, Hunter, Whitley, Brooklyn, Ashley; eight great grandsons, Kendall, Sterling, Maddox, Wyatt, Emmitt, Gage, Jerek, Brawner; and one great granddaughter, Kanara.
