Bobbie Cox

Bobbie LaNell Cox, age 77, of Albany, Texas, passed away Sunday, June 22, 2025, at Hendrick Hospice Care in Abilene, Texas. A memorial service will be held Thursday, June 26, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the Albany Cemetery pavilion.

Born November 23, 1947, in Abilene to Odus Otto and Edith Edgar Guinn, Bobbie attended Albany schools and graduated from Anson High School in Anson, Texas. She served as County and District Clerk of Shackelford County, Texas, and later worked as a landman in the oil and gas industry. She was a member of Xi Chi Pi sorority and a Baptist.

Bobbie was preceded in death by her parents; her sisters, Carolyn Guinn Waller and Jacquline Kay Guinn; and her brother, Odus Otto Guinn Jr. 

She is survived by her son, Jim Cox of Albany; her granddaughter, Haily Cox of Albany; her brother-in-law, Robert C. Waller of Albany; and her nephews, Robert D. Waller of Columbia, Missouri, and William Waller of New Orleans, Louisiana.
