Kathleen Adrienne Nixon Lisle, 64, went to her Lord and Savior on Aug. 24, 2024, surrounded by her loving family. She was born to Leonard Nixon and Judy Kemp on Aug. 1, 1960 in Council Bluffs, Iowa.

Kathy graduated from Albany High School in 1978 and was always trusted and respected in her chosen career and in the community.

She married Matt Lisle on Jan. 1, 1991. It was in her home that Kathy left the greatest mark on this world. She was fiercely protective, committed and loving in raising the children that she was blessed to call her own. She raised them with rules, expectations and unconditional love and left them with treasured memories of family trips and strong family ties. Her seven children and 20 grandchildren are the greatest treasure and her legacy

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Mildred Brown, and her step-father, Richard Kemp.

She is survived by her husband, James Matthew Lisle; children, Amy Hill Keeter and husband Tommy of Archer City, Amber Hill Myer of Throckmorton, Renee Nixon Ash and husband Thomas of Throckmorton, Stephen Nixon and wife Wendy of Woodson, Sadie Lisle of Graham, Leslie Lisle Moody and husband Chris of Graham, and Amanda Phebus and husband Brian of Knox City; mother, Judy Kemp of Throckmorton; father, Leonard Nixon of Wichita Falls; sisters, Tami Schroeder of Wichita Falls, Pam Nixon of Throckmorton, Mary Sparks of Big Springs, and Nicole Lord of Washington state; and grandchildren, Kori, Kooper, Carson, Emma, Sam, Carter, Peyton, Saige, Tristan, Kye, Avery Grace, Makena, Taylor, Liam, Keeton, Leighanna, Paisley, Alexus, Lexi, and Hailey

The funeral service was held on Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Throckmorton, Texas with Rev. Mark Lisle officiating. Burial followed at Throckmorton Cemetery under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Homes, Throckmorton.

The family would like to thank Dr. Beasley, the Throckmorton Hospital nursing staff and Beyond Faith for the care and love they showed to Kathy and our family during this time.
