Doughnuts for the crowd. A member of the Class of 1993 gives away not candy, but a box of doughnuts to a spectator along the route. The float had a tailgate theme. Donnie Lucas /AlbanyNews
Blue ribbon winner. The sophomore class float depicting the Fourth of July passes by the judges stand with a big shower of red, white, and blue confetti. The class won tops in the float competition, which featured “Holidays.” The 2023 homecoming parade rolled down Main Street through the down town area on Friday afternoon. Donnie Lucas /AlbanyNews

Class-y entries. High school classes with “holiday” floats in the 2023 parade included (clockwise from top right) the freshmen with Christmas in third place, junior high with their unjudged float for Valentine’s Day, and juniors with Halloween in fourth place. Honorees riding in cars were also part of the parade. Donnie Lucas /AlbanyNews
