New Year’s Eve. Albany High School seniors celebrate the new year a few months early with their entry in last week’s homecoming parade. Floats depicting different holidays were put together by the high school and junior high classes, with the seniors getting second place recognition. Donnie Lucas /AlbanyNews

Blue ribbon winner. The sophomore class float depicting the Fourth of July passes by the judges stand with a big shower of red, white, and blue confetti.
