Bradee Stautzenberger became the latest Albany FFAstudent to participate in the State Fair of Texas.

Stautzenberger participated in the wether doe goat show, exhibiting two animals on Wednesday, Oct. 18.

Quality Counts Course FFA students planning to exhibit animals at major shows must complete and pass a mandatory quality counts course by Wednesday, Nov. 1.

Upon completion of the course, students receive a quality counts number that will be on the Texas Validation Quality Counts register. The number will be used to enter all major stock shows.

If a student has completed the course before and has moved up a grade, they will need to complete the next level of the course and a new number will be assigned after it is satisfactorily completed.

All entry papers for local andmajorshowsaredueby Friday,Nov.10.Thiswillallow time for online entries and fees to be submitted.

Stock show schedules are available at theAlbany High School Ag Building.

Age divisions are Junior (third-fifth grades), Intermediate(sixth-eighth grades) and Senior (ninth-12th grades).

Albany FFA has two fundraising projects in the works.

Orders for the Christmas sale are being taken through Monday, Nov. 13.

FFA students are also selling tickets for Chicken Litter Bingo. Tickets are $20 each and available through Thursday, Nov. 2. Purchasers must be 18 or older.

Thecontestisscheduled for 6:00 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 4. More than $1,000 in prizes are available.
