Fresh produce to be available
Pick-updatesfortheNovember distribution of the commodity food program will be Thursday, Nov. 2 and Friday, Nov. 3.
In addition to the regular distribution, a Food Bank truck will be parked near the Courthouse in Albany withfreshproducefor all commodity recipients.

The produce will be handed out “first come, first serve,” said county justice of the peace James Breeden, who oversees the commodity program.
“Moran residents can cometoAlbanyonFridayto get a share of the produce,” Breeden said.
He emphasized that Moranfamiliesshouldplan to pick up their regular commodities in Moran on Thursday, Nov. 2, not in Albany on Friday.
“Morancommoditybags will be at the City Hall in Moran on Thursday, but those families are welcome to come toAlbany on Nov. 3 for produce,” he said.
Regular Commodities Moran families should pick up their food at the Moran City Hall from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. on Nov. 2.
Albany residents can pick up the following day from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. at the the JP office.
Families who picked up their commodities last month will also be able to receive a “Thanksgiving Bag,”accordingtoBreeden.
He explained that families whodid not pickupfood in October will still receive a commodity bag, but will not be eligible to receive the additional Thanksgiving Bagbecausehehadtohave a count in order to prepare the special bags.
