General admission tickets are still available for the CareFest concert set for Aug. 26 featuring headliners Pat Green and Kevin Fowler, along with five other popular artists.

The fifth annual event will be held at the Happy Life, Happy Wife Weddings and Event venue located just west of Albany on FM 1084.

The price for a general admission ticket increased to $60 per person on Aug. 1 if purchased in advance. The ticket price at the gate will increase to $70 per person.

The advance price for parking and cooler passes is currently $20 each, but will also increase to $25 each on the day of the event.

Carefest benefits several programs sponsored by ResourceCare across six Big Country communities including Albany, Breckenridge, Baird, Clyde, Cross Plains, and Merkel.

“We do have a few sponsorships still available which come with VIP tickets, but that is the only way to get them at this point,” co-organizer Ragan Riley said. “We have to have all sponsorships in by Friday, Aug. 11 in order to have the names on all the printed materials.”

Riley said that there are a few $500 and $750 smaller sponsorships remaining, as well as $4,000, $15,000, and $20,000 major item sponsorships.”

Anyone interested in helping sponsor the event is urged to contact Mindy Ary at mindyary@resourcecare.org, or call the ResourceCare office at 325-762-2447.

Proceeds from the event this year will be used primarily to purchase a car for workers to use for client transfers to the doctor or even taking them to the grocery store.

“If we raise enough money, we could possibly buy two cars,” Riley said. “We have used our personal vehicles to do transports in the past, but that is no longer allowed due to insurance concerns.”

This year’s acts and performance times include Della Rose – 5:00 p.m., Mike McClure – 6:00 p.m., Cooder Graw – 7:00 p.m., Cody Canada and the Departed – 8:00 p.m., Cory Morrow – 9:00 p.m., Kevin Fowler – 10:00 p.m., and Pat Green 11:00 p.m.

Tickets are now on sale at www.outhousetickets.com, which has a link on the festival’s new website www.resourcecarefest.com.

A complete schedule of the lineup is also available on the website.

Proceeds help serve communities through programs such as Vittles by Vehicle, ASPIRE (an after school program located in six school districts), Day Camp (a two week camp for children ages 3 years to 6th grade); Day Camp (employs over 50 junior high and high school students), Senior Citizen Day, Christmas for Teens, Toys for Tots, Christmas for Senior Citizens, and the Emergency Assistant Program that helps those that are struggling financially.
