County 4-H, FFA members show at Ft. Worth

Seven Albany FFA members placed with their animals over the last two weeks at the Southwest Exposition and Livestock Show in Fort Worth.
Hattie Braly made the steer sale after placing seventh in Class 2 Lightweight European Cross with her calf Maverick.
Kenzie Neve placed 13th in Class 3 Heavyweight Exotics, while Kam Browning exhibited an Angus steer in the cattle show held Jan. 31-Feb. 4.
In gilt competition, Jan. 26-30, Cooper Carrion was eighth in Class 6 Hampshire. Others with gilts were Carter Carrion, Lainey Cash, Jayden Kelly, Slayten Kelly, Allison Lemond, Hadley Stapp, Madeline Stapp, McCoy Vaughn, and McCamey Vaughn.
In the barrow show Jan.31-Feb. 3, Leddie Leech placed sixth in Chester, Chelsy Parsons seventh in Yorkshire, Slayton Parsons 10th in Crossbred, and Laithe Leech 11th in Hampshire.
Also exhibiting swine were Chloé Anderson, Jade Bean, and Susie Cormack.
Donald McCullough participated in the calf scramble on Saturday, Jan. 29. McCullough did not catch a calf, but won a pair of Justin boots, hat, and T-shirt. He is eligible to compete again next year.
A total of 38 Albany FFA students were scheduled to exhibit animals at upcoming shows in San Angelo and San Antonio. The San Angelo show runs Jan.26-Feb. 20 with San Antonio set for Feb. 9-27.
