Scholarship info available Friday

Albany High School seniors will be able to begin applying for local scholarships this week.

According to Ann Riley at the AHS office, the scholarship list will be uploaded to the district’s website and distributed to local seniors by Friday, March 26, informing them of the requirements for specific scholarships. 

“Some scholarships have a form the student needs to fill out; others require the student to write a letter,” Riley said.

The seniors must then turn in their application letters by Wednesday, April 14, Riley stated.

The packets of letters will be organized and ready for representatives of the organizations to pick up by 12:00 noon on Friday, April 16, and then the organizations should notify the school concerning their selections by Monday, May 3.

“Scholarship selections need to be in my office by May 3,” said Riley. “Please get the names of the students chosen for the awards back to the high school office by then. If it would help, the organization’s representative can send the information to my email account.”
