Members of the Albany Church of Christ recently hired Troy Wade as their new youth minister, and they are optimistic about his future.

Wade was hired in April, and he is currently a graduate student at Abilene Christian University, where he is working towards his master’s degree in New Testament.

Church leaders are very happy with Wade.

“He’s doing a great job,” said Church of Christ pastor Sonny McCauley. “He’s been leading our youth program and has already brought in a lot of new kids.”

Wade is enjoying his new position at the church so far.

“I really like the people at the Church of Christ,” said Wade. “Everyone has been very kind and welcoming.”

Wade has taken over all of the youth programs at the local church.

“I’m in charge of our youth ministry, Youth-in-Action,” said Wade. “I also coordinate other youth activities.

Wade currently commutes to Albany from Abilene, but he has liked the small taste of Albany that he has had in his limited time here.

“I’ve enjoyed the time that I have spent in Albany so far,” said Wade. “I am looking forward to being a part of local events like the Fandangle.”

Wade can normally be found at the Church of Christ on Sundays and Wednesdays.
