In-person early voting for the May 4 Albany Independent School District trustee election begins on Monday, April 22 and will continue through Tuesday, April 29 at theAlbany ISD administration building just south of the band hall on the secondary campus.

The AISD election will decide between incumbent Bo Brown and challenger Reggy Spencer for the Place 3 seat.

Kalico Leech is unopposed for the Place 4 seat.

Voters should enter the main door of the superintendent’s office.

Early voting will be held from 7:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m Monday, April 22 to Friday, April 26 and again Monday-Tuesday, April 29-30.

Voting on the regular election day, May 4, will be held in the same location from 7:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m.

Mail Ballots

Next Tuesday, April 23, is the deadline for requests for mail ballots to be received.

Voters who are already registered and wish to request a ballot by mail for the May 4 election can fill out an application that is on the Shackelford County website at www.shackelfordcounty. org or contact LynsiMusselmanintheAlbany ISD superintendent’s office at 325-762-2823.

Musselman is the early voting clerk for the AISD election and will be assisted by veteran election workersAnnKingandDee Balliew, who will conduct the early voting and election.
