Things are starting to look a lot like fall at the Albany Chamber of Commerce offices as the time for the annual fall decorating of the business district of the town nears.

The Chamber is seeking volunteers to assist with putting up fall decorations on Saturday, Sept. 30.

“The Albany FFA kids brought the first load of cane to use with our fall decorations,” Chamber Manager Brandi Lehew said Tuesday. “I have also been working on fluffing up the bows and getting the pumpkin plaques out that will go up.”

She said that the Albany FCCLA chapter will be installing the pumpkin plaques soon, with volunteers coming on Sept. 30 to help decorate the posts and polls along the downtown area.

“I am trying to get as much ready ahead of time like bundling the cane branches so it will go faster next Saturday,” she said. “If we don’t get finished on the 30th, we’ll work a little on Oct. 1.”

Volunteers are still being sought for Sept. 30. Contact the Chamber office so Lehew will know how many are planning to show up.
