Volleyball camp to start Monday

Another youth sports camp conducted by Albany coaches is scheduled for early next week.

The Albany Volleyball Camp will be held Monday-Wednesday, June 27-29.

Cost for the volleyball camp is $25 per camper and includes a T-shirt.

Sessions will be 8:30-9:30 a.m. for students entering first through third grades, 10:00-11:30 a.m. for incoming fourth through six graders, and 1:00-3:00 p.m. for rising seventh through ninth graders.

Also scheduled are the Little Cubs Cheer Camp and junior high cheerleader camp set for Monday-Wednesday, July 25-27.

The Little Cubs Cheer Camp is for 3 years old up to incoming sixth graders.

Sessions will be 9:30-11:30 a.m. with instruction by Albany’s varsity and junior high cheerleaders.

Each day of the camp will have a theme – Tie Dye for Monday, Rock & Roll for Tuesday, and Camo Shirt/Uniform for Wednesday. Cheer items will be for sale all three days of the camp.

Camp participants will be asked to perform with their groups in August at the Albany Lion Ice Cream Supper.

Cost is $35 per individual and $20 for each additional family member. Registration forms are available at Nancy Smith Elementary School and other locations around town.

Albany varsity cheerleaders held a home camp Monday-Wednesday, June 20-22 with the National Cheerleaders Association in preparation for the upcoming school year.

Junior high cheerleaders will hold their camp in the afternoons following Little Cubs Cheer Camp.
