Tuesday fire quickly contained

In spite of windy conditions, local volunteer fire fighters were able to contain and extinguish a wildfire south ofAlbany on Tuesday afternoon.

Personnel from the Shackelford County, Albany City, and Moran fire departments all responded to a report of a fire on the YL Ranch about 3:00 p.m. Tuesday, with the rural department taking the lead, supported by city volunteers and equipment.
