Truck show cancelled after 2nd rainout

Members of Shifters Car Club checked calendars and the weather forecast, and made the decision to cancel their annual Truck Show this year.

“By the time we could work it in, it would be so late in the year that we decided to cancel it,” said organizer Robert Snyder. “We’ll try to do it again next year, but we may have to move the date.” 

The truck show was rained out twice this year, both on the originally planned date of Saturday, Sept. 22, and on the scheduled rain-out day on Saturday, Oct. 13.

“We are thankful for the rain,” said Snyder. “We’ll take it whenever He sends it. For now, we will start focusing on getting ready for our annual car show in the spring.”

T-shirts from the cancelled 2018 truck show will be available for purchase at Parrott and Fox during normal business hours. Those interested in the shirts can check the Shifters Car Club Facebook page for more information or contact Snyder or other car club members.
