The City of Moran is planning to hold a household trash collection event and a free tire and trash disposal event on Saturday, Oct. 24, at the old rodeo grounds, 900 Ground Street in Moran.

Moran city secretary Teresa King said this is for Moran and Albany residents only.

The grounds will be open from 9:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for Moran residents and 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. for Albany citizens, or until the containers are full.

A separate container for metal will be provided.

Participants must show proof of residency with an electricity or water bill or a driver’s license.

Passenger and truck tires will be accepted, with no rims, farm tractor tires, or tire businesses allowed.

For the household trash collection event, no motor oil, gasoline, diesel, antifreeze, paint, pesticides, fertilizers, batteries, aerosol cans, light bulbs, metal appliances, or roofing shingles can be accepted.

For information, call City Hall at 325-945-3441.
