Tickets available for concert

Tickets are still on sale for the Chris Knight concert set for Saturday, Feb. 5 at the Aztec Theater, and they will probably be available at the door, according to organizers.

The performance is sponsored by Albany Live, a nonprofit organized last year to bring live musical events to Albany. Knight’s show is the second in an ongoing singer/songwriter series that will continue monthly through July.

“Sales are trickling in, but we still have about 100 tickets available for the Chris Knight concert,” Trey Davis said Monday. “People can still buy tickets on the website, and any that are left will be available at the door.”

To purchase online, go to the group’s website: www.albanylive.org. Prices are $50 for general admission and $75 for reserved seating in the front two rows.

Davis reported that the next show on Feb. 19 with Shane Smith and the Saints has already sold out.

There are 286 seats in the Aztec’s auditorium, with the front two rows of each show sold as reserved seating and the remaining available as general admission.

“Albany people are used to buying tickets at the door, which looks like will be available for the Knight concert,” he said. “Chris has some die-hard fans, so we are hoping for a full house.”

Davis suggested not waiting until the day of a concert to buy tickets for any of the concerts ahead since the series is drawing attention from music lovers outside of Albany.

Tickets opened up on the website for the Paul Cauthen concert on March 10 just last week and are selling well, according to Davis.
