Tuesday, Dec. 13 is the deadline for providing items to Believe Tree for Teens sponsored by the Albany Ministerial Alliance.

Trees have been delivered to eight participating churches – Albany Methodist, Bethel Assembly, First Baptist, First Christian, Friendship Baptist, Maranatha Fellowship, Matthews Memorial Presbyterian, and Trinity Lutheran.

Feed Store director Tisha Wilkins said gifts should be unwrapped and include gift receipts if possible. The bag needs to be labeled with the teen number.

Albany gifts may be picked up from 2:30-3:00 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 18. Moran gifts will be delivered Monday, Dec. 19 with the help of Moran principal Jo Hise.

The Feed Store accepts donations for Believe Tree for Teens, which provides gifts for approximately 40 junior high and high school students in Shackelford County each year.

Wilkins said the number of applications for Believe Tree is up from past years with 49. From 2018 to 2021, between 35 and 45 applications were received.
