The 2020 Believe Tree for Teens applications have been received and have been disbursed among several local churches.

Ministerial Alliance secretary Tisha Wilkins said the total number of applications submitted was down this year.

“We had a total of 43 teen applications,” said Wilkins. “Of those 43, 28 were from Albany and 15 were from Moran.”

Ornaments with the teens’ wish lists can be found at First Methodist Church, Friendship Baptist Church, First Baptist Church, First Christian Church, and the Church of Christ.

The Albany Ministerial Alliance is the sponsor for the tree which provides gift assistance for Shackelford County junior high and high school students.

“People wishing to sponsor a teen can select a name from a tree, purchase gifts, and return them to me at The Feed Store,” Wilkins said. “Gifts will need to be returned to me, unwrapped, with a gift receipt if possible.”

Pickup for the gifts will be at The Feed Store in Albany on Tuesday, Dec. 15 and Thursday, Dec. 17, with times to be announced at a later date.
