Taggart sworn in for 2nd term

Steve Taggart was sworn in for his second term as Moran mayor at the regular Moran City Council meeting at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21.

City secretary Jackie Wallace administered the oath of office.

Taggart, who is also the chief of the City of Moran Volunteer Fire Department, added that the VFD recently purchased a new air compressor with donated funds.

“The old compressor no longer worked, and we have to be able to air up the fire engine,” Taggart said. “The air compressor can also be used for other things in the shop, but we needed it for the fire engine.”

Until the air leak in the engine can be located and fixed, the unit must be aired up each time it is used so the brakes will release and it can be driven.
